In my case I would use something like this, http://www.archos.com/products/imt/archos_5/accessories.html?country=nz&lang=en&p=dvrsnap , because yes it just outputs the video. So I’ve had it plugged straight into the tv, suppose you could record to vcr or dvd, but that wouldn’t work for a skirmish I would use that device to record to my archos5.

I was looking at this, and of course I’ve got one question. How does it save onto a memory device. It is just a component cable and I can’t think of how to store the video onto a thumb drice or something.

Use a dremel to make a hole in the box and glue or putty to fix the camera inside the box. I keep the battery for the camera in the box. Then run the cable to your recording device. In my case an Archos media tablet.

well really just the construction and any difficulties you had making it. And what PEQ box you used and the camera and thats basically it. My friends were trying to film our airsoft wars and so far theyve duct taped a camera to the side of their gun which you can prolly guess didnt work. So i decided to do some research and i found your post.
